I *heart* Tom Hatten (I grew up in SoCal- was an original "Valley Girl" long before Moon Unit was even born) - I won a prize at one of his personal appearances by guessing the number of dots he used to finish a drawing. (It was a whale with a wind-up tail that scooted across the bathtub - boy, do I wish I still had that!)

Another thing I loved was his ability to take a squiggle - or the letters of someone's name - and make a caricature of the person from it/them.
