Okay, at least two watts in the pot there....

The U.S. State Department said on Tuesday it had contacted the social networking service Twitter to urge it to delay a planned upgrade that would have cut daytime service to Iranians who are disputing their election.

I love having a geek in the White House. Suck on THAT, McCain - you idiot.

Iran needs to fix Iran's problems...but making sure Twitter stays up won't hurt, either. *winks*

(The fact Twitter is an incorporated company in San Franciso just warms the cockles of my little heart. Hello, chief export - the counterculture, now upgraded for the new millenium.)

That's one. Two, I find it ironic as heck that the most curt method of communicating over the internet is turning into the most effective (and heroic) one with regards to events transpiring half a world away in Iran. (Go Iran! Go!) Makes one think about the days of morse code and ham radio....

If I had a way of moving some of those mobile satellite uplinks from India into Iran...how far can you broadcast a wireless signal, anyway?

Still not going to Twit anytime soon, but thanks for asking. (I may have to cave for AX, though. Wouldn't THAT be ironic?)
