Most countries with socialized medicine are very, very stingy about accepting applicants who are disabled or in chronic bad health, for exactly the reasons mentioned here. Even if I wanted to emigrate for political or personal reasons, it isn't going to happen. I can't afford it.

Not that I can afford to live in the USA on SSDI either, or course. But that's another rant I won't go into today.
