The good news -

SHE MADE IT.

And I have.

Seven.

WHOLE.

PEOPLE.

Showing up to the vigil tonight in Santa Monica. Yanno, 2000+ dead in Iraq? I'm bringing litesticks. Candles don't stay lit for shit.

But...damn. That's limp. Just can't be bothered, I guess! *facesmacks* THAT'S been the theme of this week, if there ever was one. (These are the guys who set up the "graveyard" on the beach every weekend, and have been since this whole mess began. Seven people. Nine, with Jim and I.)

The bad news?

Do I have $500 to see Barry Manilow in December in my old neighborhood? Oh, wait. I'd need three tickets. AUGH.

*whimper*

I'd go to the vigil except that the very THOUGHT of driving 2 hours to Santa Monica (that's how long it took me the last time I had to go in the evening to Santa Monica on a week day) makes me want to scream and throw a tantrum.

I will likely make the one on Sunday, though... there is one on Sunday, right?

Contact the guys on the link directly - I'm sure they could tell you.

That's the closest one - in a neighborhood I'd be in after dark.

I'm cow-kicking my desk now to get over it.

Oddly enough, I'm never happy to live in Santa Monica unless there's an event going on here.

My friends and I will be at the vigil for a little bit, too. Ironic, considering the second I scrolled down the phone rang and a friend invited me to the same vigil :o
