Boy, I'd love to see that one - part of all the work to get certified for foster parent included study after study after study about how hard it was to get kids over attachment issues when they'd gotten fucked over early...they never could trust properly enough to do it successfully again.

Then again, in some cases? I'd call it the "what does bad mean to you?" factor - and if you're used to being lied to? You expect it - and never check, after a while.

Me? Bullshit detector works overtime. It surprises me at times.
