Considering that the very first ad I ever saw for Exubera (and being diabetic, I pay attention to such things) was last week, it doesn't seem as if they gave the marketing much time to work.

I remember 15 years ago, when they were saying a nose spray was coming. I was thrilled when I saw the ads for Exubera - and I haven't had a diabetic at home for nearly ten years. (Surrounded by them, oh yes. I've run out of fingers and toes to count them on.)

This is disappointing on so many levels, it's absurd.

I'm with you, but they did a crappy job of sustaining the buzz. I'm a pharmacist (though I work in a hospital) and I didn't hear much about this either way since it was in pie in the sky phase. But we all sure knew Viagra was coming out months before it hit the market, didn't we?
