Is this the year a filk convention might make sense?

What're you doing first full weekend in March? cflute and I will be at Consonance in the Bay Area... tix out of LAX should be dirt cheap, there will be tfabris and vixyish and tibicina and I *think* pocketnaomi and for sure mysticfig, who is the guitar and parody god of filk bar none... and, oh hell, how could I forget cadhla, who's on concom for pity's sake...

Last year was a total blast; mysticfig and cadhla totally broke vixyish with "Wil's Song", a sendup of Vix's world-famous "Mal's Song"; then Vix broke mdlbear with "Six String Love", and got Seanan with something else (I forget now what)... oh, and flower_cat puts on the most awesome con suite spread EVAR.

Others to consider are Baycon Memorial Day weekend (gencon with a strong filk track), and Conchord down your way August-ish... Not totally committed to either of those yet. But Consonance is my fave.
