My luck is holding!

The cultures came back negative for strep.

Yeah, I know. I wasn't being cultured for that. There's a call in to the doctor for the WTF.

If they botched the test, I'm getting my H1N1 shot and making sure the family does too - and lie my ass off.

I've taken four days off work. If this wasn't H1N1, I'm dead meat.

OK... the good news, if your job argues, is that the CDC no longer trusts the rapid swabs and outpatient tests to differentiate H1N1 from 'regular' Influenza A and B.

Bottom line: CDC guidelines would strongly argue that if you've had a influenza-like prodrome, you can reasonably be assumed to have had influenza -- and this year, that's overwhelmingly H1N1.
