Advent, Day 22

More orange. I have a thing for oranges at Christmas - it must be the HUGE naval orange I always got in my stocking Christmas morning, along with the goil foil coins and peanuts in the shell. Christmas, to me, tastes like chocolate, oranges and peanuts together....

Orange Scented Hot Chocolate
Ingredients:

* 2 cups Milk
* 4 oz chopped bittersweet or semi-sweet Chocolate
* 3 2-inch strips Orange peel (orange part only)
* 1/2 tsp instant Espresso or regular coffee powder
* 1/8 tsp ground Nutmeg

Mixing instructions:

Combine all ingredients in heavy medium saucepan. Stir over low heat until chocolate melts. Increase heat and bring just to a boil, stirring often. Remove from heat and whisk untily frothy. Return to heat and bring to boil again. Remove from heat, whisk until frothy. Repeat heating and whisking once again. Discard orange peel. (Can be prepared 2 hours ahead. Let stand at room temperature. Before serving, bring just to boil, remove from heat and whisk until frothy.) Pour hot chocolate into coffee mugs. Makes 2 servings.

Okay, put this in your memories folders -

Just tuck this away someplace.

If you know someone who's had a house fire and needs shoes, please send them to me. I can get shoes back on feet inside of a few hours - all I really need is size and color preference, gender optional and I'm off. That's the bare minimum I can respond with - generally speaking, I can come up with more, but shoes? A gimme.

Just tuck it away.
