It's nice to know -
Mom was discharged shortly after work's end yesterday. Discharge that late in the day? She was waiting to see her doctor - then they let her go. That's the only reason she was there - and that's a good thing.
George Takei has come out. Well, it's nice to see William Shatner isn't the only Trek actor to finally gain some maturity instead of just getting older -
This was known in my circles for years and years. Like he was also an internee during WWII in Arkansas - you just didn't talk about it around him. But - as he has come out about that, and been VERY active with the Japanese-American Museum in Little Tokyo as a first-hand experience to query - I'm glad to see this is finally out as well. We knew. We didn't tell.
People who have hang-ups about this, don't know anyone with this sexual orientation - really. Any reservations I ever had about it evaporated once some first-hand knowledge came along. That's my POV - and it was done when I was 11. I'll be 45 soon. Count on your fingers.
