Okay, okay -

Click, and die laughing.

The fact I just passed on a dozen of hardback romance novels at the used book store ($2 a piece! What a deal! No!) - is amusing.

Cripes! I recognize most of those covers, but can't remember the real titles. There's a really great Johanna Lindsay one that I have a poster of as well. I don't remember the title to that one either, but the guy only got past the censors because his heroine is kneeling in front of him...

with her back to him, of course!

Hilarious! Now i am inspired to dig out some of my sister's old romance novels from the attic for renaming!

Apparently, arguging against such a cover for my fantasy novel that happens to have kissing and nookie in it made me a "difficult" author to work with. Well, not as "difficult" as when I demanded my unpaid royalties, and funny how the "difficult" label didn't come up until I threatened legal action, but still.

I never, ever, ever want to see a cover like that on a book of mine unless it's one of those parody versions. :)
