When someone asks you to 'save the date' - and you do by writing it in on the calendar - it might behoove you to actually *consult* the damn thing after you do so, to make sure you remember it correctly.

*facesmacks* I was off by an entire week. I officially suck.

Three things that save me these days.

I downloaded Sunbird -- a free calender program from the same people who do the browser Firefox. I know when my domain name expires every year now thanks to it. I also keep track of any medical stuff, bills, etc.

Jatina has Yahoo Mail which comes with a calender program. They send email updates for any important date listed. Gmail may have a similar program.

And I also have http://www.bluemountain.com/ which also remembers all important dates and sends email notices ahead of time. For things other than anniversaries and birthdays, you have to be creative, but it works for just about anything.

I've tried Sunbird...and stop using it when it took up too many resources, and the first time the database crashed. (Yes, I broke it. I do that to programs. Ask me about email clients. I've killed them all in my time.)

In this case, even something as basic as a DayRunner wouldn't have fixed this one - I just didn't look. DUMBASS R ME.
