Monday, Monday

Let's hear it for huggable cashmere sweaters! Powder-blue, long sleeves and I'm so warm and comfy, I may just fall asleep upright. Not recommended.

And no, it didn't fit last year. Oh, and this week I drop down to 20 points a day. Go me.

Went out and got blood drawn this morning - let's hope the project is successfull and I stay off daily medication for reducing cholesterol.

One thing leads to another - proof? Had to call the timeshare company to get a value on the timeshare Cliff and I bought back in 1995 - and to advise them that I have yet to get a successful filing of a Affidavit of Decdence for him (they're sending forms). I'll have to do comps to get the value, but in digging out the membership cards in my purse, I found the little pad of paper I'd used in Australia last year to jot down phone numbers and other trivia.

Namely, This site - Tree-Free Greetings. Okay, the Green Party geek in me loves it already, but check out the artwork - the tins are a flat $12.95 each, and the envelopes are easily as pretty as the cards.

These will be fantastic Christmas Eve on-hand gifts. (What? Anyone coming to my house Christmas Eve gets a present. It's what you're supposed to do. It's not a fortune, but it does require thinking about it, fer the love of mud.) I think this is the year the guys at work get mugs with trail mix in them - after watching cupboard full after cupboard full of styrofoam cups go bye-bye - they'd use them if they had them. The few the guys have are sad, really. Chipped, ugly and so on.

Oh, I'm going junking sometime soon. Count on it. Anyone want to go with me?

Need more tea. Definitely.

Is junking along the lines of thrifting?

Then I love junking!

We both love going to thrift stores. When my friend from the desert came to visit she asked what we did for fun. When I told her we do garage sales and thrift stores she was so surprised, said her SO wouldn't do that with her (and there aren't a lot of places to go in the desert where she lives). I told her, the two things that Portland has in abundance are thrift stores and bookstores. We spent half her time here going to thrift stores and she needed to borrow an extra suitcase to take all her stuff home.

From the desert, huh? Like, Palm Springs? Ask them if they know where Hemet is - cos' that's where I was born, raised and escaped when I was 19.

There are TONS of places to go there. Everyone goes there to retire - and you know what THAT leads to, right?

Estate sales. *Junking Heaven*

Interested in junking... if schedule permits. I don't think we're doing anything on New Year's day. :)
