This Sim's name is Misa Naora - Romance Aspiration, and he has at last count, about six full siblings - and five half sibs. (I breed Sims. That's what I do.)

Dad is scary - and a download from The Sims Exchange (he came with a lot with a house on it and four other Sims). I built Noa in CAS.

Yeesh, those shots look like ASS.

It's hard to say - I have a lot of Rose's stuff, Peggy's stuff (both free and donation)...and stuff I just picked up along the way.

I've downloaded both kinds - and to be blunt, anyone who thinks they can control content once it's been bought, is nuts. This is stuff for a game, which is quite copyrighted, thanks - charging for your time in making custom content, to me? You can ask.

I've given my entire Downloads folder away, more than once. Pay, free - at that point, I have no idea.

I think that paysites are illegal. And I think some of the tactics they're using is just awful. Not to mention that most of the pay content just isn't worth it (it was either done for free before, or just looks awful). Peggy and TSR are some of the worst, imo.

If you don't ask, you don't get - but at the same time, people who make custom content and then want to get paid for their time? It's kind of like making AMVs - and the org only takes donations to keep the site up.

Once the download is done? It's one of those understood things that the content is probably going to be public domain as soon as it's finished.

All the "do NOTs" are a lot of hissing and splutter. You want to charge for custom content, burn CDs and mail them - on commission. I don't think too many people would make much that way, neh?

very pretty. I do see what you mean... gorgeous, with bits of both parents. I do love the hair.

I haven't done a lot of custom content with the actual sims, more their stuff and houses... but I've started looking more. I got a bit of hair and makeup now, but I don't think I've gotten into any that change the meshes yet. I've been leery since sims 1 of those.

Don't be - the architecture in Sims2 is FAR more robust about that. I just steer clear of actual programming hacks that alter game activity - just not worth it.

Wow, really nice!

I really wish I had more custom meshes and hair for my Sims, but at the same time, I don't like all the "ZOMG DO NOT REDISTRIBUTE!!!" clauses from most places. If I have a good Sim family going I like to post it up on the exchange... and I don't really know many truly free-for-sharing Sims sites that are good.. every now and then I browse fansites but all the good content seems to come with that "Do Not Share!!!" or "PAAAY MEEE" stuff. Blah.

As I said, you can always ask - but since I don't upload anything anywhere, regardless, screaming "DO NOT UPLOAD" to me usually is just noise.

And - I can pay, or not pay. I've done both. In the end, it's your choice.
