Getting near the end -

About that time I crack open the last post of the previous year, examine it and laugh hysterically, then write a post.

Haven't done it yet. I had something odd happen yesterday to put it into perspective.

Someone asked me the 'best thing that happened in 2009' and I came up bupkis. Okay, wait a minute - that's not possible. Think a minute.

It's not that wonderful things didn't happen. They did. But backed up to it?

Some of the most screaming, crying, wailing, AWFUL, WORST EVER losses. Screams out of hell loss. Grand Canyons of change, shift and live-through-this.

Gotta separate 'em. No, don't pro and con this year. Don't go there.

The good was awesome.

The bad was ... absolutely overwhelming. And constant.

One more day.

That pretty much describes the year that Belle and I had. And I'll be more than happy to see it go. But the one good thing I'd like to remember about 2009 is that we survived.
