There is nothing more stress-inducing than being handed a new machine and finding out it won't run anything more than one application at a time.

Because - oops - they didn't install the extra memory.

And then didn't bring over the old emails. Which have everything I was working on in them.

Bah.

And then email arrives from back east - Jim's mother is verging on a hospitilization for depression.

I've been there. Yanno, I don't think I have sympathy - empathy, sure. But c'mon. I hated it so much I was willing to do anything to stop feeling like that.

If I have to go back there to deal with this, I will be even less sympathetic. I can feel it already.

*sigh*

Time to hit the road. Ghad, I am getting tired of this. I resent it!
