C'mon, you knew Michael Moore was going to be an ass.

But yeah, I've been wanting to say shame on you George Bush too.

And no, I'm not watching the Oscars. I'm reading results.

Spirited Away was a gimme. C'mon.

What he said was fantastic IMO. Everyone knew he was going to anyway. ^_^

Yeah...just because he got booed for saying what no one wanted to hear doesn't make him wrong.

I knew it was going to be a Disney Film that would win... just was a question of which one.

Disney deserves credit for Spirited Away about as much as Toonami deserves credit for japanime TV series. They made it accessible to an American audience, bravo. But they weren't the creators.

I did like Moore's "fictitious President...fictitious election..." comment. Sums up my feelings very well.

Miyazaki winning the first award got things off to a nice start for me. I adore his work.

And even though it was obviously a political gambit, I thought it was nice Michael Moore brought the other nominees onstage with him. Documentarians are the poets of the film world, in that they never (or very seldom, anyway) get the kind of glory and money that other artists do, so paradoxically, they can afford to be more outrageous.
