I think back to something I wrote in April while in a pit of despair: "I wonder if The Lesson is that, in order to succeed, I need to rely upon myself, trust myself, love myself, and not put my happiness and sadness into the hands of others."

Stuff for the future...

I see there's a "To Do" list function as part of the sign in process here, but somewhere along the line, I need a pad of paper and a list at my elbow.

For Hawaii:

1. Featherbed to take with.
2. Digital Camera. A good one. Time to talk to Siva.
3. Jim thinks he needs flippers. Well, fitting a size 13 at a rental counter might be tough. Yeah.
4. Cellular phone with jack for cellular modem for one of the laptops. The Manago only has phones in the hallways. Also, need Lava.net account.
5. Look into cardboard cat carriers, humane societies that rehab wild cats and make sure I plan a day to deal with same.
6. New swimsuit. Lost old one.
7. Look into a night at Volcano, ditto a night at Dragonfly Ranch.

This weekend:

1. Both upstairs bathrooms fit for consumption - everything else is done. Time to clean up.
2. All empty boxes OUT of here.
3. Some writing...please?
4. Downstairs fit for viewing.
5. Bonus points if we get the bedrooms in ship shape.

Coping by scaling back. I keep seeing things that look like fun - but no. No time. Don't try it.

Sis sent me a card this morning - happy happy and all that and wants to know what's going on.
