Shopping

Went to Ontario Mills Saturday. What do I have to say about the typical shopper?

Destructive Little Beasts.

No, I mean it. Went into Cost Plus Imports and found this after that either mangled, broken or vandalized beyond any possible hope of a sale. Marzipan fruit ripped in half, holes poked into them (little fingers making lots of little holes), porcelain tschockeys chipped, broken or otherwise mangled. Plastic covers ripped off boxes. Hollow chocolates broken into little pieces.

Intercepted a band of boys trying to get candy out of the coin-turn vending machines. By beating on them as hard as a their little 8 year old bodies could manage. When security showed up, they dissapeared like smoke. There are a lot of machines. Somehow, I suspect they were taught to bang on anything with candy in it if they want any.

Destructive little beasts.

On the flip side, parents with children seemed to be having a pretty reasonable time - I was pulling toys out of the UFO catcher machine at Dave & Busters with a son and father who beat the crap out of me, prize-wise. Santa Claus was quiet, pleasant and squall-less.

I can see why unescorted children aren't welcome anywhere. I just see those kids beating the crap out of a person when they want something out of them...instead of a few cents worth of chewing gum.

I gotta call to place to Cost Plus. That was plain disgusting.

Went to the Cost Plus in Walnut. Found everything in pristine condition.

Ontario - Racist and Destructive. Walnut - Integrated (and happy - check the National Geographic on this place...) and gee, not at all a problem.

Doesn't take many people - one or two dinkwads and it all goes away.

Twenty minute drive on the freeway. Gah.
