I've put a webcam on my profile - it's just south of the office.

Yes, it is that gorgeous. Every single day.

Got a call this afternoon from some dear friends of mine - an impromptu picnic was being put together and did I want to participate?

Jim works tonight and frankly, driving two cars anywhere right now just doesn't make sense. When I buy gas right now, I am fully aware I'm putting the blood of innocents into my tank - that's a bit dire, but I'm not going to kid myself. I don't drive anywhere I don't have to right now.

There's that...and trying to make sure Jim has had enough sleep to make working all night comfortable. And then there is the political facet.

My friends, dear as they are, are the most conservative people I know. I don't want to get into it. I don't want to dance around the elephant all afternoon. And they would - we are civilized and respect each other, cherish our differences.

But how can you hear how pro-life someone is...and accept support of this war?

We're in the wrong. We're the bad guys. There was another way. It's gone now.

I can't say a day of prayer is wrong - but asking Providence for support is just ghastly. Ask for wisdom. Ask for guidance. Ask for forgiveness.
