kyburg: (wonder)
Have gotten my update from Sis - Mom is good, waiting to pass a final "pee test" and she'll be discharged from the hospital.

Gee, having to wait to perform a pee test. I understand it, but I'm finding it hard to just toss off - though it does go over quickly when talking with others.

It's just stirring up sediment and making the wa muddy.

Did the calling tree thing and updated older brother - but some of the emails I sent out in the vague hope they still cared what happened to me have returned some interesting responses. Like:

The best man at my first wedding, who hasn't spoken to me much since 9/11 when I told him his jokes weren't funny - has moved out of Pasadena, up to Napa and is working on opening a restaurant there. His wife has just had a total hystero for cancer and they are 95% sure they got it all. She's younger than me. That's getting a response today.

Family from Switzerland responded with good wishes. Knock me over, willya?

Haven't called Cliff's parents yet, but I will - today is slammed, and I'm off balance. Yesterday, I had two of the worst restaurant meals I can recall in recent memory. No wonder Applebee's is packed - nothing else is edible! Sheesh.

Today was the awful faux Chinese from next door, which I haven't touched in months. I just didn't want anything else.

Just for [livejournal.com profile] kusoyaro: All hail the King of Pho! *snerk* This is going on the "check daily" list.

I drove home last night and in some places, the glare from oncoming traffic made it impossible to see the road in front of me. Yah! This is good - I'm going 85 and can't see a GD'ed thing!

So tired when I got home. Urping bad buffet food and scrubbing my eyes.

The sibs didn't tell me to shut up once yesterday. I consider it a personal best.

And so far, I don't need to go back out and cover - yet.

This still may be okay.

I have much to do before I sleep tonight. Best get back to it.

I also have the short-term memory of a gnat right now. I'd love to pick up some of the threads from this week, but don't have the headspace right now to do them justice. When I do have the spirit, it'll be like beating a dead horse. Bah.

I want a pony. I want a cookie.

[livejournal.com profile] gaaneden often has Anime Night at her house - and one of the provisos always given in the invitation?

Long haired kitty cat princess in residence who likes to bite. Take your meds and pet at your own risk.

Today, that would be me. Just sayin'.

I didn't search this up. It was big and bold on the front page as I was checking my account - Large Leather Diaper Backpacks.

Leather...diapers. Yeah.

Actually, it looks like they're pretty good daypacks-style bags - plenty of them, too.

Um.
