We finally made it to our appointment today - and it was an hour of talk.

I have some homework and some bloodwork to do - based on what that says will say how much effort we're going to put into this. I'm not willing to do anything to have children - frankly, that's too expensive and I'm working full-time and have to keep working full-time, to make anything work. I think our original plan to form a family by both biology and adoption still was the best decision to make - no pressure.

But it was an interesting experience. He's very nice and listens well. He was impressed by my OB/GYN, which surprises me - I've never been that impressed with him by reputation, even after I found out I share him with Majel Roddenberry. I'm still not thrilled with the way I was hurried out of the office last spring -

Dr. Whiz-Bang is going to be a good source of referrals, though. That was obvious. I am so glad he didn't steer us right towards a whole lot of invasive stuff - the whole IVF stuff, egg-donation - paugh. I don't know what's going to be necessary - my OB/GYN didn't check a thing.

So all the wheels are now in motion.

And at the same time, we're waiting for the new Pokemon games to show up for our GameBoys. Figure that one out.

The Hellboy DVD showed up today, though. That made interesting dinner time entertainment. Yup. Mmmm. Tentacles. Mmmm. MORE tentacles. Oh, purple goo.

Repeat. Rinse.

I'm going to go get a cup of tea.

[livejournal.com profile] factcheck_org does a nice job.

If you think they're biased, you ought to see what they have to say about the latest Moveon.org entry.

"Each of those statements is literally true, standing alone. But taken together they suggest Bush is legalizing machine guns, and constitute false political advertising."

You gotta know spin when you see it. That's your only protection.
