Advent, Day 7
Dec. 7th, 2006 07:26 amHow about some fun food?
No, I don't mean Jello wigglers, okay?
Someplace where going to eat means more than eating food - although, consuming mass quantities does seem to be at the bottom of a lot of social interactions.
You got a suggestion, let fly - but here are three off the FL and other places:
Cafe Gratitude.
Welcome to Cafe Gratitude serving all organic, vegan and mostly live foods! Come play the Abounding River Game and experience an unfamiliar view of BEING ABUNDANCE!
Uh, in San Francisco and Berkeley, vegan and every time you order something? It's an affirmation. Oh, and they have boardgames. Next time I'm in town, I swear....
Roadfood.
Great regional meals along highways, in small towns and in city neighborhoods. It is sleeves-up food made by cooks, bakers, pitmasters, and sandwich-makers who are America’s culinary folk artists. Roadfood is almost always informal and inexpensive; and the best Roadfood restaurants are colorful places enjoyed by locals (and savvy travelers) for their character as well as their menu.
Going somewhere? They have a fantastic search engine. Yes, I've used it. I'm the native Californian who married someone who grew up between five states boundaried by Tennessee and Illinois. It's called survival.
Pho King.
King of pho, there is none higher, sucker recipes can call me sire.
Food blog, search engine - source of wonderful things. Like pho. YAY PHO.
Enjoy - see you all tomorrow!
