My treat for this payday was picking up one more of the remastered Beatles albums - this time Revolver, and this time, I put it in the drive and listened to it with the $3 earbuds.

I don't think I got four measures into the first track before I paused and RAN to get the programmer who plays guitar. It is JUST that wonderful. Oh dear GHAD. They're not kidding. The remastering has brought out sounds like the rehab on Macross brought back the color and clarity. I can hear fingers on acoustic strings. That good. Indrawn breaths. (It also highlights the difference in what acceptable production values were at that point, but whoa.)

One per paycheck. They're not going anywhere. And no, I don't need boxsets for Christmas.

[livejournal.com profile] dotiscute, meet [livejournal.com profile] purrplexitty - you two have something in common (besides me) and if you check, you'll pick up what it is at first glance. Mutual aid society much? (And proof-positive that you pay for health care one way or the other - most of the time not in $$$. Yes, screaming at the top of your lungs considered acceptable compensation. 9_9)

It's Friday - also, Payday, which means I get to decide who lives and who dies what's for dinner the next two weeks. Rudder is turning out to be very useful - stay tuned. Loading the information taking a whole lot longer to do than anticipated, but I'm doing it inbetween naps. And stuff.

Yes, Redondo Beach is having their lobster festival. Yes, we have live Maine lobsters in town for the event. (No, they are not going home. :9 )

kyburg: (chai chai again)
I'm going to be a tourist on Monday. I'm going to catch the Green Line/Blue Line/Red Line to LA Union (and probably stop off in Little Tokyo for breakfast) and then take the Red Line into Hollywood, maybe even figure a way over to City Walk...and just be a silly tourist until I have to go home.

So be it.

You wanna go, lemme know.
