If I can find $250 and five days off work, I can get certified to teach first-aid and CPR.

The bucks aren't so much an issue as the time away from work. And then, if I taught? It would likely be on Saturdays. (Probably will happen next year, I think. When I have vacation time again. And sick time.)

That's time away from family - both the kid missing me, and Jim taking it up for two days straight alone. It's extra bucks, to be blunt - and me doing something I enjoy at the same time.

We're at that point where the kid *really* is glad to see either of us after being away - this is good, it shows attachment is coming along and adjustment with it - but it's tough when the kid doesn't want to sleep because that means being separated from us for the night.

Still juggling the idea of how to manage travel. We're still planning on working AOD next January, and working the logistics of that (to the good, the new digs? Mouth-watering. Seriously.) as well. Right now, the break-in trip is looking to be Thanksgiving out at Mom's house - go out for dinner, spend the night out there and do shopping with Mom the next day. That gives us a chance to see how he'll react to a hotel stay, now that we know each other a bit better.

Yes, I do think this far in advance. I am just throwing hands up over Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years. He'll sleep when he wants to. None of us are going to be sleeping on schedule as it is.

Took two apples from the Oak Glen stash with me for breakfast and lunch today - oh DAYIM, they're good.
