Wet Wet WET
Jan. 21st, 2010 12:20 pmBut everything is getting a good drink, and I might be able to turn over the soil in the garden plot after this is over.
I think I've found a home for the live Christmas tree still sitting in the front yard - have to follow up on Saturday.
Sunday, family 'officially' joins the church as full voting members (and we're giving Xander his infant baptism at the same time). It's ritual. *shrug* It's what I got.
I'm going to try to do mending tonight - last night, Jim got a migraine and I got put-kid-to-bed duty. End result was I fell asleep watching Underdog to Wonderdog at 8:00 PM. (Wanted to get the bills updated. FAIL.)
Making lists of things we MUST bring with for AOD - most of them kid-oriented. Most of them continuity items like blankets, toys, etc.
The news was a punch in the face this morning. Oh well.
Antibiotics clearly a good idea as the crud is leaving the building, but not without a snotfest this morning. Still coughing, but less each day. Let's see - this was Monday, it's Thursday and I'm almost done. Wow. That's almost like the rest of the world - who'd have thunk it?
Have to go find some awesome stickers to bribe kid with. Mommy wants kid to eat food with color - starting with peaches in addition to bananas and apples. Goal achieved last night with one slice of canned peach eaten under minor duress. Next up - pears! (Maybe cherries or plums might be next. Even I wouldn't make a kid with his food issues eat something with visible seeds like strawberries yet.) And oh yeah - vegetables other than potatoes are on the list too. Peas and carrots. Oh very yes. I'm also enlisting preschool to help me get this kid to eat breakfast down there too. (I make sure he eats *something* before going there because I can't pack breakfast for him - but they make good breakfast, and he could use the calories.)
That, and routine toothbrushing, vitamin taking and so forth.
Kid tried on the 4T pants we had tucked away and THEY FIT.
I've got stuff to get written up, and if I want to get back to writing, I'll have to make time - but. Fell asleep watching one of my favorite shows last night, yo. Sitting up. Right.
More, as it develops.
