The eclipse was so utterly surreal and beautiful but the camera obscura effect it had in the dappled shade of the trees was the greatest and most unexpected treat of all. This is 4 shots of the eclipse from my camera this afternoon at about 1:10pm local time within the span of a minute. Des Moines, IA was nearly clouded out, and the clouds were VERY thick and there is no filter, but with the light level and the amount of cloud cover, I managed to get the above shots.

I have other pictures with filter but I prefer the way these turned out.
