Advent, Day 19
Dec. 19th, 2007 10:08 pmOh man. BUSY DAY. Nearly no sleep last night, so hence the delay.
Moore By Four - 'Amen'
What can I say - the song's long, but the coding to put it in this post is short. 'Nuff said.
For the other - here's a quick way to make three Christmas gifts. Go to your shelf of cookbooks, and pull down the "Louisiana Real & Rustic" by Emeril Lagasse and turn to page 9.
He's got a rub recipe that can double as "season everything with this - it's AWESOME" and it makes enough in one recipe to fill three jelly canning jars.
It's also VERY sneezy work.
8 tbls paprika
3 tbls cayenne
5 tbls freshly ground black pepper
6 tbls garlic powder
3 tbls onion powder
6 tbls salt
2 1/2 tbls dried oregano
2 1/2 tbls dried thyme
Measure, combine, spoon into jars and it's good to go for three months.
I've got some of these put aside for the diabetics - adds a ton of flavor and no sugar whatsoever - and it doubles for BBQ like nobody's business. (Hope you like that stuff spicy - 'cos - well - check out the amount cayenne in this. Right.)
See you tomorrow!
