One more for the road -
Feb. 19th, 2004 05:39 pmI didn't get to wait for the third time, folks. Yesterday, the cops busted the house two doors down and yanked a whole lotta people out in handcuffs. Nice to know my radar is still working, I've been told too many times it's hypersensitive.
Well, not by the LAPD Harbor Division's standards, it's not.
I haven't seen any of the kids since then. Tomorrow is trash day and there is a whole lotta yard toys set out at the curb - and mattresses. Small ones. There are a lot of women klatching together at the far side of the house, and the body language is saying much more than anything else. First time I've seen any of the women in that house, come to think of it.
I think they took the kids, too.
So I called the cops and asked them. "Serving outstanding warrants." Uh, huh. The seargent I spoke to was very friendly, eager and...pleased. I'm used to apathy, folks. My neighborhood watch captain was also pleased.
More as it develops. Buncha dinks.
