Cross Check Me
Aug. 1st, 2002 02:41 pmIt could me be...I can be wrong...
BUT
Is it rude and disrespectful when:
You're visiting family from out of town, have made special arrangements so that you are staying near their house and have advised them where you are going to be and when you are going to be there...and
They have taken time off work to spend with you while you are in town...and
You show up the one day they have off at 2:00 PM?
Just checking. A yes or no will do - and since I'm a free user, no poll available - sowy.
No kidding.
Jim's brother showed up with take-out in tow at my house Wednesday at 2:00 PM to spend the one day I have off while they are here, with me.
We were supposed to go out to lunch together. We were supposed to do some sightseeing.
I burned a day of vacation pay packing boxes and moving shit to storage, eating very quickly to get back to the house so we would be there when they arrived.
We went down to the non-air conditioned Chino Airport to see a vintage air museum - tres cool, but the women didn't even leave the van. So much for visiting with them.
Jim's been down to their hotel more than once as soon as absolutely possible to spend as much time with them as he can.
Suffice it to say, the next time they want my time, they're going to ask for it.
Just cross check me. I'm a bit cheesed.
