Good grief, that sounds like it oughta be a drink or something.
Breaking headline - LJ porked over by power outage, most of my friends out of reach right now. No film at eleven. Suffer.
Anyone near Harlan, IA? I'm planning to be out that way, in the company of my mother who will be attending her high school reunion. Lemme think - the 62nd, I think. June 12 - 14th. I'll take business cards and wear a Hawaiian shirt. I will, so help me.
You know you're in immediate trouble when you think you've got an idea for an AMV and:
1) The mp3 runs out of battery in the middle of the tune while you're playing it.
2) You find out by checking the org that it's been done twice before - and one of those uses a horrid cover of the tune to boot.
3) You discover the best machine in the house now has both games AND graphics programs loaded on it. You'd do best to go get another machine for editing altogether.
Well, I updated the profile at the org at least. Damn, that site is useful. Phade deserves all the chocolate and accolades I can throw at him.
Thinking about Anime Expo and wincing. Past seeing Sean and everyone for dinner - I can't get the least bit excited. I see dollar signs - most of them out of my pocket - and not much more. After that, I have to travel. San Francisco sounds good.
Jim is just walking through Kingdom Hearts like a hot knife through butter - growl grump.
Today was good. May some of it spill over into tomorrow.

Date: 2004-05-18 08:39 am (UTC)So don't go. Do dinner with the friends you want to see and then go home and do something less expensive with your weekend. Where's it written in stone that you guys have to go and spend potentially hundreds on your memberships, stuff in the dealers room, ect. Most people I know take a year off once in a while from the cons they enjoy so they don't get burnt out. Hells it's one of the reasons I'm sort of glad we won't be doing Baycon next year.
