It's time - CEPT Request
Dec. 6th, 2004 06:53 amMy mother was diagnosed with bladder cancer last August.
Tomorrow, she goes into surgery to have her bladder removed. There is the possibility that they will also remove a kidney, and they will also remove lymph nodes to make sure they have caught all the cancer.
She's almost 80 years old, and had a good-sized heart attack four years ago.
She's a moderate risk for this surgery, and she has taken the time to be prepared if she does not survive it.
I'm scared witless. This is my onliest parent - my father died before I was seven years old.
Any good wishes or prayers offered will be greatly appreciated.

Date: 2004-12-06 07:32 am (UTC)My mother is four years younger than yours, and seven years postop for the very same thing. And she can run circles around me to this day. I'm praying for the same outcome for you.
