I can't help but think the kittens are nearby, with behavior like this - but it's taken months to win her trust.

That, and a couple of cans of Fancy Feast.

Keep doing what you're doing. In about two weeks, the kittens will be mobile and she'll be bringing them to you for food as well.

She's a lucky momma cat to have found you both!

Kitty! I've got a soft spot for the kitties, you know. Even my autistic kitty Mr. Big, who lves me in his own way (he just doesn't like being picked up still, and won't stay on my lap for more than a few seconds, but he is all over me if I lie down on the bed, and he likes to climb on the back of my chair (kitchen chair) as I type to get my attention, and fawn for attention when I'm in the bathroom.)

Funny, even with the four boys who I love to no end, I still miss Baby Girl, even though she only touched my life for a single month, she still touched me deeply.

Nearby, or confiscated. Depends on how long she's away from the little ones. What a pretty girl. I hope you can find the kittens soon.

She's lovely!

You may have to wait until the kittens are weaned, but I suggest taking her to a vet to be spayed.

Most vets are happy to do so at a reduced rate if you explain the circumstances.

And yes, if she trusts you this much, she will soon be bringing the kittens by for food.

It's possible in some cases (I expect this is done only as an emergency thing) to spay a nursing cat and still permit her to nurse. Also check with the local Humane Society or SPCA, who will probably be overjoyed to do it, especially under the circumstances.
