Because not enough people saw it -
May. 27th, 2005 08:00 amJim got a big atta-boy from the students he's been mentoring for over a year at work.
The bottle of wine? It's a 2003 Louis Jadot Beaujolais. I may have to see if Marian can still split a bottle of wine with me, or if I have to call Mel in to help. Jim's serious when he says he doesn't drink - he can find the alcohol in ice cream drinks. Coffee is also an auto-reject feature, and he can find it anywhere. Won't even eat pastries from Starbucks, cello-wrapped.
But my fella got some recognition - which is nice. That last twelve hour shift on Sunday? He came home a limp noodle fit only for a cup of hot chocolate and bed. Then he goes in a couple of days later to hear how they hadn't worked fast enough to suit the ER. The what?
Uh, you want another 12 hour shift on a Sunday? Come on, sing along with me. Pucker up, bub.
My fella works hard, and is always there if you need him. Particularly if you're a student, trying to get your head around working in the real world, with real patients.
Me, it's time to go clean out the refrigerator, pay bills and get to work. Oh wait. I just change locations, it's all work until tomorrow morning....
