I think I want a day off. I think I'll shoot for Sunday.

I want the housework done, and I don't want to go to work. I want a day off.

I will stay in bed and read, and nibble on snacks. I will take a long nap in the afternoon.

And if I want to spend hours at the computer, that's okay too. Work's done.

But I really think I need a day off. I have a long list of nit-picky little pains in the ass to do today, and focusing on them just ain't happening.

I need a break. I want a day off.

Take the day off. I took one off because I needed a mere two hours in the day time to get some stuff handled. So I took the whole day instead.

I'm taking another day this week on Friday, because normally I get up for work at 5:15am and I would be picking up one of my friends at 5:30pm to drive up to Sacremento in my rental car.... Somehow I don't think I'd last very long on the road.

Take the day off! Do it! -cheers you on-

I don't blame you one bit. I got some vacation to use, so I'm looking at a three-day weekend soon. We could all use one!

I've had essentially a month of days off, but now that they are winding down, I find myself with more on my plate than I feel like I can handle...it will get better once the moving is over and work has gotten underway, but it won't really slow down completely until after Oct.1 (the BoyKid's Bar Mitzvah). I want a day off, too.

That's SATURDAY. Can you get to the Japanese American Museum by noon? That's the meetup time/place - and [livejournal.com profile] caitlin is talking about getting there earlier for food, which I can't argue with. (We found a great place nearby last year....)

Mm, I think if I pull all my biggest getting-up-early strings and take the Gold Line in I can make it. =X I don't know about any earlier... waking up before 1PM is already a struggle.

What's going on down there on Saturday?

Take a look at the schedule - we can work around nearly anything. Need us to pick you up?

Of course not, I can drive. =D I'm only gonna take the Gold Line to avoid having to park in Jtown during Nisei week. =)

Noon, then? That tofu fest sounds awfully good... even with an $8 admission. I just wonder if the food there is free or you have to pay AFTER paying $8. If it's all-you-can-eat for $8, that trumps most lunches.

Of course I'm partial to curry house and Oomasa as well. =D

The nice thing is that I'll be down there both days this weekend -- going to a Disney Hall concert on Sunday -- so I'll look at the schedule. But yeah, I'll try and get there 'round noon. =)
