Email received this morning: "Price Alert! San Diego from $93* a night!"
This portends to be a running snark.
Folks, even when I'm visiting San Jose? I've never paid more than $50 a night. *thinks hard* No, not even when I wasn't doing Priceline.
They think $93 a night is a bargain for Buzzard's Bay. Buzzard's. BAY.
San Diego, if I were to describe it as a person?
That skanky little bleached-blonde on diet pills and cheap booze with the ugly boyfriend in the military (Camp Pendleton is just up the coast, and there's a HUGE Navy base in San Diego itself) that drives the biggest, narstiest SUV he could buy for her (she doesn't work), has a shopping addiction that just won't quit and makes everyone else pay for lunch when she goes out to dine.
And thinks everyone has to admire how absolutely GORGEOUS she is. Such assets! Such glamor.
...puuuuleeeeze.
She's a trumped-up $5 whore. And I really resent having to pay more just to spend a night in her neighborhood.
(Buying a home? Not so bad. But you have so much company, you'd think you were in Orange County in the 60's again.)

Date: 2006-02-15 07:21 pm (UTC)Yeah, San Diego's a Tart, which is why I don't understand why there's a free way back up from Los Angeles every weekend. (Roll eyes).

Date: 2006-02-15 07:47 pm (UTC)And that damn cheap whore then decided she didn't WANT a husband in the military, and instead of dumping him and starting over, she blackmailed him into quitting his Navy Seal career so she wouldn't have to follow the drum, and now he's... what, a personal trainer?
Yes, there's a personal issue there. Grr.

Date: 2006-02-16 12:41 am (UTC)So what are you guys doing in early-mid May? I'll need to confirm the exact dates with my Mom, but the entire family is assembling in Canoga Park for Aunt Deedee's 100th birthday, and then driving to Yosemite to stay for a week. We're driving down from Paradux Hill (we do not want to fly and rent a car), and will therefore have some leisure to pay you a visit if it all works out for that.
