Honesty? Accountability?

Someone made the comment yesterday that "he doesn't believe you!"

Well, duh.

I don't think anyone has to believe me.

I lay everything out there, right there in front of you. Make up your own mind.

Shoot, I don't document phone calls because I think people believe me. I don't have gigs of documentation to reference because I think people believe me.

I don't go into detail, or try to keep thing concise because I think people believe me.

It's nice when people give me the benefit of the doubt - but that's all.

If you want to make stuff up, believe me. It's for your own entertainment value.

I think I can make my arguments, just about every time. I can be wrong - but I can also tell you why I was wrong when it happens. And I'll admit it.

But no. Nobody has to believe just me talking. Go look for yourself. Sheesh.

I don't know why people never understand that some of us have to document what they've said, sometimes in excruciating detail, and it tends to train the ear to remember crucial details and to write it down concisely.
Has an interesting effect on writing habits, I must say.

One of the things my boss loves about me is my ability to write well.
