You know, if anybody listed below wants to plug themselves just a little bit more, I'm curious to hear from you -

I tried out TrustFlow II for LiveJournal. The following people not on the friends list for [livejournal.com profile] kyburg are close by:

TrustFlow II: Who is closest to your friends list?

I have a large friends list - and my friends often have large lists. The sheer processing speed of the script was amazing.

I think I did that once. I didn't get it.

The script loads your friends list...then each individual friends list from each of those entries.

Then calculates how many times a journal shows up. It's pretty niffy stuff.

May I plug [livejournal.com profile] misia who is vibrant, funny, intelligent and always worth reading and soooooo friendly despite a large friendslist? She talks about cooking, and her research (just finishing up a scholarly tome on virginity down the ages), and her dog, and the local kids she sneaks books to , really a treat of a friend.

And also [livejournal.com profile] wicked_wish who's a talented author (I read her first novel and am looking forward to the next) and also funny and charming and warm. With lots of cat pictures.

Every time I try to do TrustFlow II, the little thing goes back and forth, back and forth, back and forth for 10-15 minutes or until I need to use the browser for something else. I never get any results. :-(

I don't know about this. One of the closer people listed for me when I plugged my user name in was someone who date raped me 6 years ago. I highly doubt any good would come from befriending that guy again. (he was listed on the second from the top tier).

Third tier, sorry.

I don't know any of the ones listed above on your list, although [livejournal.com profile] iheartdarth is a pretty funny Star Wars comic.

Oh, there are a number of people in that list who got plunked for cause - but we have a lot of mutual friends in our circles, hence the reporting.

I got stupid results. Most of the top ones are all of my ex's usernames.

This discourages me from posting such a thing on my livejournal. Ever.

*nods* It's really pretty sad. People who know you well, who turn on you? It's just not that easy to extricate yourself safely.

What bugs me is the way it kicks up people with small friends lists.
