kyburgAccomplished today - got the police clearance letters done. That required both of us to go to Norwalk, sit in formica chairs and be completed disgusted/bored senseless by daytime television until almost five PM (this, I hoped to do on a long lunch - what a dork) -
I HAD to go back to work, fire drill courtesy of Brand X. Love 'em to pieces, but they keep me busy.
Got home from work at 8:00 PM.
Tomorrow, go get the last of the paperwork together for submission to the agency for our dossier; once that's done, and we have a dossier submission date, then the clock starts ticking. Eight to fourteen months.
Right now, it's very hard to think of becoming a parent - there's very little in this process that has anything to do with kids.
Once someone tells me - you're in, it's just a wait now - then, maybe - just maybe - I'll start hoping again.
And I'll start thinking about music for children again, and baby craft projects...and all of the things I've picked up, and then put down again because it was N/A.
It's been a productive, busy day. But lawd, I'm tired. Down to my heart of hearts.
