New Years Day -
Dec. 28th, 2006 12:16 pmI'm proposing a revised version of the Christmas Eve Open House for New Year's Day - probably because one, not everyone got to come over, two, there are still gifts under the tree and three, I'm mental.
But revised to giddy hell and back.
One, New Year's Eve? I'm sleeping. Screw you hippies, I've seen the year turn over plenty of times - yes, it does get old. I'm going to bed.
Because I will be up and at 'em at 6:00 AM to get down to Marukai for Fukubukuro. And a new callendar. Because I love doing it, and plan to make this a personal tradition. It just rocks my socks. I usually don't have anyone my age or ethnicity in line with me, and that just makes it all the more fun.
I think I'll put out some black-eye peas with ham hocks, cornbread and something vegetarian that can sit most of the day either cold or simmering. That's the extent of the cooking.
And at 5:00 PM, whoever is at the house, we're going out to eat. Likely someplace not-Asian as everyone is closed. Maybe something truly off the wall like Norm's.
