I got the size 10 pants from Land's End last night.

They're still too big. The size S tunic top is a perfect fit, however.

Land's End officially is high. (And I'm going to try a size 8 for kicks and giggles.)

EDIT: I really should mention that I am, in fact, complaining. This shit ain't free, and I'd rather spend my money on anime and travel. *grumblegrumblehisssssss*

Is this a case of vanity sizing?

I don't know that I'd call it that, but, at least where their children's lines are concerned LE used to be one place that understood, frex, that toddlers need pants bigger in the butt to allow for diapers.

If that were the case, the 16's I was wearing this time last year would have been circus pants. One of the reasons I order from them is that they tend to be pretty consistent on sizing - and reasonable at the same time. I was once a dressmaker's 8 - back in the day before 120 lbs - so vanity sizing? Oh, everywhere I look!

But this - this is scary. If the 8's fit - it would be the first time in my young life.
