Pray for me. Every time we make it home, at Vermont Avenue where the freeway ends? We turn to each other, high-five and say "we live another day!"

So I get to do this tomorrow AM, getting to Mom's by 10:30 AM. I'm told my grand-nephew is so excited, he wanted to spend the night tonight so he wouldn't miss A Single Moment. He adores Jim, which shouldn't surprise anyone - they bond over videogames. They can spend HOURS playing Pokemon - and whatever else will go on the DS' they both have.

Can't forget to take Mom her Japanese bath towels - the nice long, narrow ones that she can dry her own back with. I got her one a year or so ago after the surgery, and it was a complete hit. I've found her a couple more - if I don't forget to take them with me.

I'm going tomorrow for Easter, because Jim works Sunday - heh. All the stores will be open - I can go indulge in some good old fashioned JUNKING. If I can get away from the house, of course.

I'm taking veggies, hummus and flatbread. I'm told there will be a pork roast and pie.

I'd like to borrow Tommy's Pistol Valve DVD - younger brother played french horn and tuba in school, actually did very well with it in competition. "My Sharona" on Sousaphone - he'd flip. I'd love to see him flip. He's a very classic Capricorn with a very serious, dry sense of humor. Getting him to crack a smile takes a little effort - just watch for the return zing. It's required, you understand. Part of the ritual. And he really does tie to procedures - you know those Capricorns.

I really ought to do my niece's natal chart again - she's a Scorpio Sun like me (she was born two days before my 14th birthday), but I wonder what her rising and Moon are. If they were both Pisces, don't look for surprise here.

Mom is a true TRUE Aries/Taurus cusp. Horns, stubborn and a 520 cubic inch V8 engine under the hood. GET OUT OF THE WAY. There's not much more we can find out - the birth certificate doesn't say, and nobody is alive now who would remember what time of day she was born. She'll be 82 on the 21st. Every year is amazing at this point. Her father died at 59 and her mother at 72.

I'll take my laptop and see if I can't do some captures while I'm there -

In other news? Female. Yay. Whatever. (Explains a few things.)

I have to get more sleep tonight. Last night? Yup. Got a call from work and I ended up going to bed sometime after 12:30 this morning. Ya gets those, yanno.

I'm thinking of dust, weeds and cactus today. I'm going home tomorrow.
