You know, I think that might be something we will have to do day after Thanksgiving (or that weekend) if we can swing it.

The Observatory remodel was the thing I missed before leaving.

What do you think?

Of course, it may be a whole group or something.

MY DAUGHTER cOURTNEY IS IN LA AS WE SPEAK LOOKING FOR AN APARTMENT. sHE IS A FASHION PHOTOGRAPHER AND IS WELL KNOWN IN detroit!The apt she found (which are far a few between in hollywood),but she has a view of griffth park/observatory from her window,ITS A GREAT APT ON THE INSIDE BUT THE OUTSIDE SUCKS(GHETTO LIKE). So hard to find a place there you have to make up your mind immediately or its gone....or you go to the places and the area is just not safe. I have a girlfriend who live in echo park hills...but less then a mile away is echo park with all the gangs and dirty looks . Oh well shes an adult(30) but I hope that she can find a safe place,thats whats most imporatnt to me.

Funny, catsonmars is also in Echo Park, and while it looks tough - it's turned out to be an incredible place.

It's also in one of the most historic parts of town - she's lucky!

The dirty looks tend to be mutual - people tend to unfamiliar cultures with faces I doubt they'd recognize if they saw them on their own faces.

I look everyone in the eye and smile. Works wonders.
