Inquiring minds and all that.

Troops, how many of you know what it is to "scram" a database?

If you do, would you please describe it? I want to hear your version.

The ones I've been hearing around lately have been MUCH of the amusing sort.

1) Open up manual.
2) Look at database and yell "SCRAM!"
3) Make sure database is gone.
4) Verify you got all the disk space back.

:-D

My father used to work in the nuclear industry and his favorite tee shirt said something like "insert, remove, and scram!"

It was (besides being a crass sexual innuendo) work related as well. Although I never got an explanation out of him as my Mom yelled at him for still owning the shirt.

Setting up a database and it's associated code/program files so it can replicate across multiple sites/servers, so everyone can have a common set of software tools and directories, yet allow them to customize their system in a way that won't jeopardize or compromise system integrity across the network.
