Eggnog. It has been both the boon and the bane of the season. Time to wave it adieu for another season.

Entertain me. Tell me what Skippy is NOT allowed to do with the eggnog. I'll start.

1. Skippy may NOT use eggnog as a substitute for milk when making the mashed potatoes.

Go for it. Make me proud.

Skippy may not pour the eggnog into bullet molds, freeze them, then use them to assassinate Santa Claus in an untraceable way (because Santa's blood is already so loaded with eggnog that nobody would be able to tell).

On the other hand, making eggnog ice cream/ice milk isn't a bad idea.

Airgun, not chemical propulsion. You need to get a little closer, but you get rid of all the problems associated with hot gas. As a matter of fact, the expanding compressed air causes a drop in temperature and helps preserve the ammo.

The only time I've tried eggnog was two years ago. I went to Orlando and in a Starbucks they were selling something called "Eggnog Latte". Curiosity for trying out this so-mentioned Christmas drink that is not available in my country, I ordered one.

It tasked horrible. I need to try out the real thing someday :S.

here via friends of friends Dont ever ever use eggnog rather than milk in rice pudding. You wont forgive yourself. nope dont take a half cup of rice, 3 cups of nog, a bit more sugar, a pich of nutmeg, and salt, and simmer it on the stove top adding raisins at the end (40 mins around) Eating it warm would be bad and cooling it in the fridge for consumption at 3am would never do.

The year we were in Puerto Vallarta, my sister and I made egg nog from scratch so we could continue the tradition. We saw that they had Grapenuts in the store, but no egg nog, so we found a recipe and got the ingredients instead. I still figure it was started because of a dare between my dad and his sibs when they were kids, but my granddad actually likes it, and, when we have the components handy, is often the first to indulge.

Not usually, although, with Grapenuts, that would work too. Funny thing is, I hate Grapenuts. It was the only mainstream (you could get in a typical grocery store, not health food store) cereal my mom allowed in the house when I was a kid and that always ticked me off because I never even liked it.

Bread pudding around here is made with cream and eggs, so I would assume that eggnog would fit right in.

Funnily enough, I adore Christmas themed bread pudding (made it for two halves of family this year), but don't really like to drink eggnog.

It's unfortunate, but Starbucks' eggnog lattes aren't that great. I've had tasty eggnog lattes, but never from Starbucks.

I realize this is somewhat past the date, and boring by other standards, but here goes:

Eggnog french toast IS awesome, and eggnog lattes NOT from starbucks is awesome too.

You can also add eggnog to your pancake and waffle batters, but not to your scrambled eggs. Skippy says that scrambled eggs with eggnog is icky.

And if you like alcohol in your nog, which was the only way I could drink it for a long time, please not to be using rum. Rum causes this Skippy to instavomit (is allergic). Makersmark bourbon is much better. Also, please to be avoiding rye whiskey, no matter what Skippy's spouse says.
