OMG if you say something MEAN on Yelp, it had better be true!

(For my money, though - the breadth of what they consider opinion, and hence, off limits - is pretty broad.)

I've been relying more and more on Yelp for leads on services in the new digs - and so far, it's been pretty good overall.

So I made an account and have dived into the fray. Yes, that review on a local eatery may be by yours truly.

One such establishment (http://www.yelp.com/biz/rooz-cafe-oakland) we frequent has a very anti-Yelper attitude, to the point where there are not only "no yelpers!" stickers posted in prominent places in the cafe, but when you got to the entry for that cafe on Yelp, the reviewers report that he has written them nasty emails claiming the reviewer was "making stuff up" and calling his employees names. He is the business owner interviewed on KTVU (http://www.ktvu.com/video/18452047/index.html) on this topic.

For the record, here is my review, in short (incomplete sentences): Coffee is good enough for me to drink it often several days in a row, pastries could stand a better selection (muffins, scones and cookies are not my favorite breakfast options), breakfast sandwiches are nice to get if I have enough time to wait, service is hit-or-miss, the employees are equally as likely to be attentive as not, if there is even one person in line who orders a specialty/espresso drink, people in line after that customer have to wait until that drink is done, even though there are usually at least two employees, one of who is in the back doing something unrelated to making drinks or cashiering.
