In case you were wondering if you'd ever find out who was paying for the care or how you would find out -

The LA Times coughs up another one.

This time? Four babies - and mother-to-be moved to the county facility because she has no insurance.

And this one is older than me.

People want to hang the doctor. Me, I'd like to hang a newspaper.

Reached by telephone, the woman, who is about five months pregnant, denied that Kamrava was her doctor. She said her doctors urged her not to talk to the media because she is already dealing with a high-risk pregnancy and doesn't need more stress.

"Please respect my privacy," she said.

(The Times has confirmed the information through several independent sources, who spoke on the condition that they not be named.)

At least I can burn the damn things.

That case sounds like clear malpractice and violation of medical standards. Donor egg-based embryos take in older women at the same rate as younger women (comparable with normal conception!). There is no reason at all why more than 2 embryos should have been transferred; it's an inexcusable increase in risk of multiples.

The Board can't meet soon enough on this guy. Now, why isn't the LA Times bugging THOSE guys?!

Uhhmmm...did she name the doc in her interview?

If so, then she lost all right to her privacy on that, sorry.

The other woman at least has enough sense to not feed the beast.

Dr. Frankenstein needs to be stopped.

Have you been to LA? Can't get a parking space as it is and really if this guy works for 5 more years we'll have to annex Mexico to fit all the babies.

No, she didn't - hence the quote:

Live there, hon.

And I am dead certain he's not the only one doing The Thang That He Do.

Yah, but Mom 2 didn't say who the doctor was. The newspaper had to dig.

So somebody not her fed the beast.

You know, I can't say for sure. Does it matter at this point?

To the extent that Suleman pretty much forfits all rights to cry foul at the LA Times about her mention of the doc, yes.

If she said it, that makes it public knowledge.

The other woman, OTOH...that's a whole 'nother kettle o' worms.

Quads - I wish her luck.

I have an older friend who also did donor eggs, and wound up with twins - the first year or two was rough on her.
