Not soon enough to suit me.

Driving to work BLARING whatever comes to mind. And with my musical taste, that's a sure case for confusion.

Case in point:

John Denver - 'Dreamland Express'

Someone who knows how to get lyrics around notes like nobody's business - the only person I know who can keep up is Barry Manilow - and I truly miss this guy like no tomorrow. He and Steve Fossett are probably sitting around a campfire right now going WTF.

Clint Black - 'No Time To Kill'

That, and this one are for [livejournal.com profile] doreentracy to with whatever she wills. I miss my show. I don't want to be reminded that it's 15 years next year the show's been off the air. Just. Don't.

Yoko Kanno/Seatbelts - 'What Planet Is This?!'

WAKE UP.

$#@%^! get outta the way.

I want my weekend. RIGHTNOWNOWNOW.

Oh, and BTW? Sims2 Bon Voyage? NINJAS GO BAMF. YO.

I'm tempted to go get the custom skins [livejournal.com profile] kiyone's being using for her Warner legacy family and see if I don't get something Truly Cool by accident. (BTW, Maxis? Ya spawning Sims for routine purposes every time you open a community lot? Somebody is going to get a patch out for that, right? *facesmacks*)

Curry House fans - it's Customer Appreciation Days today, tomorrow and the next day. They're going to be giving swag away - all locations.

SO. We're going tonight, tomorrow and the next night. I want that commuter mug, dammit. Tonight, it'll be the Hawthorne location in Torrance - 7:00 ish, I think. Show up at the house after 6:00 and we'll go.

Somewhere in there, we'll do the Little Tokyo location. The other location near us is the Gardena storefront, which is teeny, but Curry House - *shrug*

Don't ask me about Coachella. I just didn't spend enough money - WHEE. Well, I won't spend the money - let's be honest about it. So I'm torturing myself with old '70's shite that can sound kind of whack if you listen to it the right way.

That's right. Misery is loving company today - so here, have a slice:

Two hits by two one-hit-wonders. They're on the list because - 1, I have them on 45 rpm vinyl (they're that old and I loved them that much) and 2) Some of the features of the piece can be found in some of the newer stuff I'm getting exposed to. Kind like Elvis Presley looks like Tom Jones if you squint. A lot.

Polly Brown - 'Up In A Puff Of Smoke'
Pilot - 'Magic'

Enjoy your Monday - it's now in progress.

Seriously. In grade school, I'd give the pile I got in class a huge hug, I loved getting them so much.

Make my day? Send me one of those chintzy, in-the-box-by-the-30-count kid-type valentines. I WUV THEM.

You know [livejournal.com profile] yendi is doing one horror movie review a day - every day, this year. (Not reading him? Shame. Go check. I'll wait. .. See? Yup.)

But it occurs to me, after screening the film I signed up for NetFlix to see (and I was very pleasantly surprised to discover my curiosity wasn't misplaced) - that reviewing this class of films might be entertaining.

Uh, these are the ones that are so stupidly conceived, OMG why would you want to see THAT, bad, worse and too embarrassing to rent over the counter, let alone BUY - that you sign up for them on a secure-locked site and have them mailed to you.

Who wants to know?

I also was able to get the first of my 50 Book Challenge read while waiting in the freezer section jury assembly room. Will post review later.

Because, now - I go to work!

I keep saying Hanna Barbera whacked me out as a child.

Here's proof. Now, the tag line is at the end - but finding this last night while looking for other things - *snarfle*

Enjoy - I gotta get to work.

I should watch my copy of "Airport" - on LD, before going to see "Snakes On A Plane." Yes. I should. The lead up should do everything to even out a less-than-stellar flick.

Discuss.
