New phone arrived - and everything is moved over. Except some of my more awesome ringtones, which still are getting worked on, and I've lost my ability to voice dial. Added - keyboard which makes me lickety-split fast on texting and a larger screen to see everything on, mp3 playback ability and voice memo capability. Yes, I can leave myself a note about where we parked. Yay.

The Slacker arrived tonight - I've got it updating right now, downloaded the player for the laptop and having a great time. I've already banned 'Honey' by Bobby Goldsboro - it's GLORIOUS.

I've also been treated to some things I haven't listen to since the summer of '81 - bite me.

Like America's 'Ventura Highway' - did I tell you I wrote a Starsky & Hutch/Incredible Hulk crossover fan fic back in the day, inspired by that tune? Okay, I just did. Signe Landon illustrated it for Jan Lindner's Rerun fanzine - bite me twice. (Jeebus, I wasn't 21 yet.)

I have three weekends left to get everything where I want it with a three year old in the house permanently. I nearly did myself in at this age with a nightlight - I'm not expecting to let him out of my sight much. And then be gone a week.

I've got someone at work wanting me to have twenty minutes with her a day to learn some Chinese.

I also spent a good part of the day today back down at the Westin in Long Beach at the behest of the Customs and Border Patrol today (yes, right back in the old karaoke room, surreal as hell and it's just as beautiful as you remember) for work-related stuff. I am doing much the same sort of thing as old gig - but new gig is giving some exposure to other things that are just going to be FUN to get down and dirty with as well.

And I found a voicemail from United from Sunday morning - that early morning flight Priceline smacked me with? They canceled it. Wonder if I could get anything like a credit for it. *whistles*

It's been a pretty good day, overall.

Would it amuse you to know that I read your subject line and had to THINK really HARD about it to figure out what "RDA" meant in that context since the content of your post meant that "Richard Dean Anderson" didn't make sense in your subject line?
