Buddy at work is cashing in his change jar at lunch today.

Uh, the 5 gallon water bottle kind.

I may take pictures. I'm insisting I have to see this for myself.

(Someday, one of my goals in life is to fill one of those up partway and head to Vegas.)

We used to have a giant watercooler jug--a GLASS one, mind you--that change was dumped into. Eventually it broke. Now we use one of those giant pretzel barrels.

We took it in to the counting machine a few months ago and it was grand fun shoveling it in. Jingle jingle jingle!

We used to have a communal change carboy when we lived with several housemates.

Every year we'd cash it all in right after Christmas and use it to pay for our huge New Year's Eve open house party.

Hey, at least in Vegas they don't charge you to count that change, like they do at the Coinstar machines in the grocery stores!

Based on what we cashed out of our 5 gallon water bottle when we moved, I'd say a full one would be well on towards a grand, depending on the coin mix.
